Windham Rd. Clean-up a Success!

Thanks to the involvement of our community, Community for A Better Derry's Windham Rd. clean-up was a smashing success!

Over the 2 mile stretch from Shute's corner to the Windham line, nearly 50 bags of trash were collected as well as numerous bulky items like tires, pallets, fencing and even a mattress and box spring.

This was a real community effort with many of the participants bringing their kids along to help with the work and demonstrate how a little hard work in a pretty short amount of time (we were done in less than 2 hours) can really have a positive impact on their community. It's this kind of effort that is part of what makes our community strong and can give everyone a real sense of pride.

We want to express our sincere gratitude to everyone who participated. Community for A Better Derry was proud to be a part of it and everyone should be proud of what was accomplished. Windham Rd. looks many times better than it did.
